KardexRemstar will host an open house at its newly upgraded manufacturing facility in Lewistown, Pennsylvania on Saturday, April 17 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The 230,000 square foot Kardex Production USA Inc. manufacturing facility, located in the Mifflin County Industrial Development Corporation Plaza in Lewistown, was occupied in 2004 and used by Kardex Inc. to manufacture its full line of automated storage and retrieval systems.
The company has invested $3.8 million to upgrade the facility with automated equipment and building improvements. KardexRemstar will focus production now on the KardexRemstar Kompakt® Mobile Storage System, the KardexRemstar Lektriever® Electric Lateral Filing System and horizontal carousel product lines. The facility uses a wide range of manufacturing processes including punching and forming, welding and painting, and will assemble and ship manufactured products from the facility.
