KardexRemstar Quick Ship Program Provides Shuttle™ Vertical Lift Modules To Be Shipped & Installed In Less Than 10 Days

To meet quickly changing consolidation and expansion plans, KardexRemstar offers a quick ship program for the KardexRemstar Shuttle (TM) Vertical Lift Module (VLM), which saves up to 85% floor space and increases productivity. The quick ship program offers the Shuttle (VLM) in a variety of heights that are pre-tested and shipped in two weeks or less! The unique modularity of a Shuttle VLM allows it to be configured to virtually any height and can be reconfigured at any time after installation if customer conditions change.

The Shuttle VLM is an enclosed system of vertically arranged trays, extraction platform and computerized controls for automated retrieval of stored materials and floor space savings up to 85%. The unit is designed with a base module and a series of height modules. The base module is shipped to the customer fully assembled and factory tested. The required combination of height modules, are then added to the base to create the overall unit height. It is ideal for high throughput and productivity in the automated storage and retrieval of tooling or components in the manufacturing, electronics, metalworking, automotive, retail, and medical markets. KardexRemstar presently offers the Shuttle VLM in four different models, each model with tray capacities up to ---640 lbs., 1250 lbs., 1,709 lbs., and 2365 lbs.

KardexRemstars quick ship program offers a tray size of 1850 mm x 863mm (72.8 x 33.97) in two different capacities (591 lbs. or 941 lbs. per Tray) for the Shuttle VLM. The Shuttle VLM can be strategically placed at the point of use for optimal time-savings and requires little floor space while making use of optimum overhead space.

It can store a total maximum machine payload up to 110,000 lbs. With a few clicks of the controls, an operator can change the delivery speed of a tray from 10% to 100% of its maximum speed. Each tray can be individually set for a different delivery speed allowing highly sensitive and durable products to be stored in the same VLM.

The Shuttle VLM, KardexRemstar's most flexible storage system, is capable of holding items such as boxes, totes, spools, mechanical parts, work in process, and electrical parts. Height variation and shelf blocking features are standard and allow product sizes to continually change without the need to reconfigure the storage locations. The vertical design takes advantage of unused overhead space, recovering floor space for higher value-added applications. Its small footprint allows it to be strategically placed at point of use for optimum productivity and throughput.
