Leadership in Energy and
Environmental Design- LEED
LEED is a rating system for sustainable building design developed by the USGBC
(United States Green Building Council).
The intent of the USGBC is to use the LEED rating system to design new buildings
and redesign existing buildings to be more environmentally and user friendly.
That is to improve the overall effect the building has on the environment as
well as the effect it has on the people that work and live inside the building.
